Cross Country Pace

Join the Arapahoe Hunt Cross Country Pace at the Colorado Horse Park, September 23rd!  Course starts at 9am, and a food vendor will be there, but you can bring your own lunch.

Always fun to watch as many of the jumpers dress in costume and have a great time dressing up their horses as well.

There are three divisions, so everyone can find an appropriate group to compete in:

  • Division A – Most challenging, you must jump very element (approx 2’11” high)
  • Division B – Moderate with fences at 2′ 7″,  rider may jump any element, but must jump
  • Division C – Fences optional.  Great for beginners, kids.  Fences available from 2 ‘3″ up thru 2’7″.  Pass thru the flags, and you are good!

Lise’s Mom’s Jalapeno Jelly Recipe to Kick Up Your Christmas Ham

Marge Stevens and Mim Willyard started making jalapeno jelly some 16 years ago to support the local Christmas bazaar.  What started out small soon grew big and the largest demand is for the hotter jalapeno variety!  Lise Stevens introduced the Arapahoe Hunt to her mother’s famed jelly during hunt breakfasts, where the author got hold of it and pursued the home recipe.  The recipe was recently featured in Covertside Magazine, together with the equally famous annual Polo Player’s Foxhunting Braai.
